Paul Mcpherson is an ophthalmologist and certified BVA panel member with over 43 years of experience in veterinary practice who now focuses purely on BVA eye panel examinations. Paul no longer accepts referrals for clinical ophthalmology cases.
Paul has started running BVA panel sessions on selected Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons from our Southwell surgery, he is looking at adding more sessions which we will update people on as changes are made. All appointments must be pre-booked and will be only be for BVA eye panel work only, no other routine health checks or clinical work will be undertaken during these sessions.
To book any BVA panel work, please contact our Southwell branch. The BVA panel work requires a split appointment and paperwork preparation so please allow at least an hour for the appointment. Please make reception aware that you are booking BVA work to ensure that you are booked in the appropriate time slot. If you have specific questions linked to BVA eye there is a contact section on the BVA eye panel page however this page does not have a booking system.
If you call to make a booking, reception will require you to provide:
- Your name
- Postal address
- Email address
- Accessible contact phone numbers
- Animal details (breed, age, sex and quantities)
When you arrive you for your appointment :
Your animal(s) require a working microchip or readable tattoo
You will need to provide the original Kennel Club registration certificate(s)
You should bring any previous testing certificates
For litter screens you should bring the Sire and Dam registration documents
